This is a response to a post from Spencer Thomson on 23 Octoberabout the MyShoppingGenie programme. Whilst Spencer is entitled to his opinion, his post is full of un-substantiated and unecessary inuendo, which seems to be a sly attempt to gain 'kudos' by trying to discredit My Net Universe and it's hard working Distributors!

For the record Spencer, My Net Universe is legal, ethical and 100% squeeky clean and has a proven track record of honesty and reliability! It's also a company that's very successful and is expanding rapidly by helping millions of people around the world save time & money and many others, to become debt free and financially secure. Much like your Company...!

This kind of post dicredits the author and the mlm Industry. Whilst there is nothing wrong with expressing an opinion, it's important to ensure that opinion is based on the facts, because the truth has a habit of bouncing back and biting you in the b..!

To All Concerned

You may be aware of the recent TV segment on Prime Time, a so-called 'Watchdog' type programme in Southern Ireland. It was put together by a newspaper reporter, who is a friend of a disgruntled former MSG distributor. As a result, they spent 14 minutes trying to slander and undermine My Net Universe credibility and reputation.

The reporter claimed that My Shopping Genie was a Pyramid Money Scheme BUT if he had checked his facts he would have found that so called ' Pyramid Schemes… (<a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pyramid_scheme" title="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pyramid_scheme CTRL + Click to follow link">http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pyramid_scheme) are illegal in most countries, including the UK, and are simply money exchange programmes, where you invest a sum of money in the hope that you will receive more back than you originally invested. As he was suggesting that My Net Universe is operating a Pyramid scheme, then I would fear for the whole of the direct sales business in the UK and Globally...a $140 Billion industry, with the likes of Amway, Avon, Herbalife and other multi Billion Dollar business's in danger of being shut down! A Pyramid scheme does not and can never have a 'Product'. Remember, we show people how to give away the software App for free and for anyone to do the same, they have to purchase the product which is a software distribution licence of $199! A Pyramid scheme or any Illegal scheme would never use credit card transactions with Visa & MasterCard. It is clear to me when I joined My Shopping Genie that, I'd be purchasing a software licence and I had the option - not compulsory - to pay $29 / month for the maintenance of my licence and custom branding / web profile options, which enables you to continue to give away unlimited FREE Genie Apps and be able to earn substantial pay-per-click income!

People are aware of Bruce Bise serving time as a young man but he has repaid his debt to society and is now working hard helping many people around the world, turn their lives around, through MyShoppingGenie. Wasn't it Jesus who said “ Let him who is without sin cast the first stone” We all make mistakes in life but the Irish TV reporter launched straight into a verbal assault on Bruce Bise. What should have taken place was a balanced, civilised interview but it was clear from the outset that, he desperately wanted to create sensationalist headlines, probably to further his own agenda!

The programme makers spent no time explaining how the amazing FREE App had saved money for tens of thousands people all over the world and enabled many to make money also in these extremely difficult economic times. Neither would My Net Universe have one of the most respected business people in the USA on its Executive Committee, William Shaw the former Vice President of CNN and right hand man of Ted Turner (William Shaw was recently here in the UK & Ireland with us).

My Net Universe have made it very clear to all the leaders that they will take issue with the programme makers and reporter and they have instructed one of the leading Irish Attorney's and one of Ireland's leading PR companies to address this biased report.

We, as Distributors have a 'belief' that the Company it is helping many people all over the world improve their lives by helping them build their businesses through this amazing FREE to download, FREE to use and 100% safe App, which all of us have had the good fortune to use.

It is also worth mentioning that, our competitors and our own personal detractors will look for anything negative to throw at us. Yes, some of them will be lapping up this biased, negative bile from Ireland BUT please do not be alarmed. Unfortunately, that's life and the world we live in!

Success breeds more success as they say, so we'll remain positive and concentrate on building our businesses with My Net Universe. Between us we'll build a multi billion dollar business, for all of us to be proud of and we'll leave the nay-sayers behind!

Note:

Microsoft sells 'Word' software for about £120 when people install it on their computer. They then have to insert the Licence number and are allowed to install the software on a maximum 3 computers per household. If Microsoft did not do this, people could give the software away free and Microsoft would fail to make any money, instead of the Billions they do make every year! My Net Universe with the MyShoppingGenie App works in a similar way BUT with one major difference…They share the revenue from the Licence fee with the guys who get the Apps out there into the market…The Distributors!

I agree with you we are 100% legal and I know that the Ireland issue is close to a resolution, which will be good news for people in the Genie - I know there are many people within other companies waiting for this prior to moving to the Genie, I have some personally sitting on the fence at the moment who are with a service company - they will join when its been addressed, some are still joining now locking thier position in the binary and sitting on it - like an insurance policy so to say.

Some more good news for the genie today we can now all apply for mastercards for our commissions to be paid onto as of TODAY - as per your post above, PYRAMIDS do not get approval by mastercard/visa, it also should be noted that on the genie costs i.e. $199 etc the compony have tax to pay ( clearly stated in t and c) - again leads to credibility

SHOW ME THE PRODUCT that you business people are talking about.

I have asked previously on this forum, and also every distributor who has pitched us, a simple question. Where does the revenue to pay the commissions come from, and have never had a satisfactory answer.

If it comes from "ongoing licence fees" - perhaps these are the only product - then I would see this as a thinly disguised money plan.

If, on the other hand, they come from the retailers whose sites are visited, then surely the genie cannot return an unbiased search ...

An honest, simple, straightforward answer would be appreciated ....

The resellers money comes from flogging the right to give away free browser plugin.

The money is made by the main company by selling on the information that the plugin retrieves.

It's an empty, vacuous, thinly veiled pyramid scheme - in that it has no tangible goods or services to trade.

As it says up there in your wikipedia link ^^:
A pyramid scheme is a non-sustainable business model that involves promising participants payment primarily for enrolling other people into the scheme, rather than from any real investment or sale of products or services to the public. Pyramid schemes are a form of fraud ...

As I see it, by getting involved in MSG all you'll do is lose the respectability of your peers and a fair bit of money.

re the website thats a personal view - it is however one of the most visited websites in direct sales as logged by alexia ( if my spelling is correct - i am not where i have the the link at the moment - i can back this statement up if you wish when i am on my own p.c. )- from memory it was either no. 2 or 3 of the most visited sites in the direct sales industry at the date i last checked it.

I bought a licence to distribute the app and the end user can have it for free - Its not daft to me, thats very simple in fact.

I think part of your thread is strange if you dont want to waste your time dont join the thread - thats your choice, mike has made a post you choose to read or reply to it.

Hi everyone,

I joined MSG 4 months ago and all I can say is that I've only ever had a positive experience with it.

I've given away dozens of Genies to friends and family and they regularly give me great testimonials on the savings they've made.

I also think it's a fantastic marketing tool. You can brand the Genie with your logo for your current business, link it to any website and then give it away to all your customers and clients. Everytime they do a search, up pops the Genie with YOUR branding on it (which you can change at anytime and link it to different websites). I did just that with my martial arts and yoga school (and so have several of my colleagues). Over 100 of my students have now installed the Genie and many of them are making savings large enough to cover their monthly tuition fees. (Only yesterday one of my students told me he saved £99 on bunk beds for his daughters and £30 on a slow cooker.)

All this for a one off payment of $199 and £29 per month. I spend more than that on just ONE advert in the local paper for my schools. I also spend more than that every month on Google Adwords for my websites! As a small business owner it made sense.......my students SAVE money, the school EARNS money and it's a great marketing tool.

Listen, I'm not a business guru and I'm not as sharp as many of the people on this forum (I just teach karate!) but I do know that my reputation is everything. I love my students, the last thing I would do is harm them in anyway or risk the reputation of my organisation.

OK. So, let's put this another way.

IF, (and this is totally hypothetical), IF I wanted to join - obviously correct me if I am wrong:
I pay you £X amount plus a monthly fee of £X
For this payment I am given the right to give away a free piece of software

How do I make any money with this license? (and please don't tell me to watch a video).

already today, I've experienced another BIG time wasting exercise that totally infuriated me.

I am asking the same question as Lee.

I did not choose to read it, in fact, I am interested in what you're saying because it doesn't make sense. I am trying to make sense of it. I also don't care what Alexia says, mainly because it, itself works of whether something is installed on a browser, naturally it will have high visits if a load of people think it's odd (I am a visitor also now, Alexia won't tell you I think it's odd). You can target Alexa toolbar users, thus bump a ranking. Much the same reason as anything a bit odd. I think this is why newspapers put out negative stories - it encourages readership.

My opinion is it is a terribly designed website. I am a designer also. Professionally I think it's poor.

As you two are distributors and Lee and myself are trying to make sense of it and you're both coming out with things that don't answer the question, would you mind answering the question? I don't want to read something written yesterday - I'm asking you, the person who is writing about it. AND "Yes", you've not answered the question. AND "Yes" it is time wasting. I feel used and would like to know what exactly it is.

For example, yesterday I double checked the @canyourecommend twitter service that Lee has put on. He answered the question and it validated what he was doing. Fantastic. I'll use it.

The reason I'm asking is because I keep getting my attention drawn by things like this, that are pointless and time wasting - you will probably be the last people I talk to on this matter. So please, do me the desency of answer my question, I've been good enough to read your bumf, it is common courtesy.

Please stop talking phsyco babble and just answer the question that Lee and myself have put forward.

You are correct - if you wished to buy a licence it would be $199 one off lifetime fee then $29 subscrition fee per month - that goes direct to the company - if someone wanted to buy a licence for example through me, they would go to my website click become a distributor fill in the form and pay the company the fee online. -You would then be able to distribute the app for free. It would be your choice if you wished to try and sell other licences (that is optional) you would also be given the opprtunity to brand the app as you wish.

If you choose the part of pay plan simply by giving away the app for free as some of my team have you would earn an income from p.p.c. - not one pence of this income comes from any licence sale. If you chose to sell other licences that is a seperate part of the pay plan and is optional ( refer to my previous post please for more details) - i note your previous thread in this post, nice touch within it.

1. There is an advertising module with the toolbar that clocks up revenue?
2. Payment is taken to have re-branded version, which then becomes your advertising on their browser?

So, what you are saying, Alan, is that it is NOT a pyramid scheme (selling nontangible products) but a legitimate PPC revenue stream?

If it comes from the retailers that I am being sent to, then I ask again how can this be an unbiased referral ... why does no one want to tackle this simple question ??

My guess is they don't know themselves. Which if that is the case, doesn't exactly make the whole operation very transparent.

My shopping genie is "Google"
