Update!!!

Today, my total for the company Xmas party drinks fund (this is money begged from suppliers for my staff - 10 of us - Christmas do on the DFDS ferry on Friday to Amsterdam) went over £1000 - £1066 to be precice.

I have still got tomorrow and Friday PM to go and have still got 8 "soft targets" left, hehehe.

I went to the bank and got Euros to wave under the staff noses.

I have also got some £600 of "drinking vouchers" (really - true!) from DFDS to spend on the boat, because we get £20 more euros doing it that way, and that means an extra 5 bottles of beer!

So currently, we have £300 (way out), £400 (while in Amsterdam - 8 hours) and £300 (way back), for booze. This is not Q-U-I-T-E enough, we don't want to ration, so we will be having a final push tomorrow. I want an extra £300 really.

My aim is to have a totally free and excessive weekend for my staff (and me) - accommodation and food (2 evening meals, 2 breakfasts) already covered.

By the way, the weather forecast is for 16 to 20 foot seas. Hehehehe, This is gonna be FUN.

Ling, don't forget that you agreed to put me on the payroll so next year I get to come to the Christmas Party. Sounds like it is going to be a killer. I shall be watching the news with interest and tell a few friends in Amsterdam not to panic if they see a 10ft high rocket roll off the ferry..

On Friday evening and Saturday northwesterly winds will be strong in the North Sea, then quickly increasing to strong to gale. Winds will be occasionally strong in Thames. On Sunday northwesterly winds will be strong to gale at first in the North Sea

..and another £100 from an Audi garage.

£1291 now.

That is £130 per person for drink over 1 day and 1 evening. I am seriously wondering if we can drink that much. Staff are speculating about ordering premium lagers and branded wine.

Here's the staff disclaiming letter I have written for them. Everyone has signed.

I advise this caution, as we all know anything can happen...
