Over the last 4 weeks there has been a disproportionate number of complaints about 2 people on this community.

I'm not in the habit of binning people as you know, and I am all for freedom of speech, but I am also primarily all for looking after the community as a whole. There comes a point where I will have no option other than to act.

So if you think this message applies to you, my suggestion is: if you do genuinely want to be a member of this forum, change your ways. Or, if you don't want to be a member of this forum, continue the road you are on and go out in a blaze of glory.

You know what your way is (before the 'hurt innocence' card Is played), I know that because I used to be just like you on a former online forum.

If you are banned you will put on what I call KOS (kill on sight) which means any new or alternate account once Sussed to be you, by writing style or IP addy will be binned immediately.

It's your call either way I'm easy, but I am not prepared to have this community have the piss taken out of it by hiding behind the 'freedom of speech' card.

Why do this thing where you whip up a public lynch mob, yet don't name anyone?

Why not just email who you mean and ask them, "if they wouldn't mind" to leave? (after all, you own majority of 4N business)

The problem with anonymous friendly warnings is the people it is aimed at have no insight into their own behaviour and won't realise it is aimed at them.

I just think these type of threads are simply ways to create bad feeling, and would caution against them.

I wouldn't be surprised if it doesn't have something to do with an inability to engage in debate without rubbishing your adversary or resorting to personal abuse or histrionics and claiming it's all a CIA against you personally as soon as someone disagrees with your out of date, out of step, or just plain wrong-headed views.

Don't know if that's meant to be a joke or not But Ling contributes a lot of sense to this forum, some you may not agree with, but thats what a discussion forum is about.

In fact in my opinion there is no-one that has done anything to deserve a ban on this forum recently. There have been a few "interesting" threads, a few feet in mouths and maybe a couple of altercations but no one that I think should be thrown to the wilderness.

Unless of course it's supposed to be a forum of peace and goodwill with never a cross word or difference of opinion.
