Hi all,

My mum and I have both just discovered this on our credit card bills and I thought it best to warn...

If you have ever bought something from trainline.com / ticketmaster.com or similar you may have opted into a £10-pcm "membership scheme" with www.shopperdiscounts.co.uk

Please check your bills as £10 a month is not that noticeable on credit card statements and you ARE entitled to a refund.

Just thought I'd warn you all, apologies if this isn't in the right section..

The Trainline is not a company to be trusted anyway. I booked tickets with them but needed to change the dates, so they told me to buy additional tickets for the correct dates and return the wrong ones for a refund. Which was fair enought and thats what I did.

I spent 3 months chasing that refund with countless phonecalls and every call would start the same way

Ticketline - "We havent received your tickets back"

Me - "Yes you have, here is the registered post reference number and this is the website to check"

Ticketline - "Oh yes I see it now, I will mark them as being received on your file"

I would guess I went through that same conversation on 30 odd occassions. A similar thing then happened when I was asked to write in and complain - they just kept saying they hadnt received it.

The one tip with TheTrainLine is start tweeting your complaints to the whole world. 3 months of phone calls and letter writing got me no where, 2 tweets and I had a refund in 24 hours. If they wont refund those £10's start tweeting about it you will get a result in no time
