There seemed to be so much chocolate about at today's meeting. From the surprise choc-chip cookies provided by the venue to the fabulous chocolate cake baked by Manuel Boger of Bowman West to celebrate his birthday. Another great meeting by the river and such wise words from Andrew Horder of The Busy Fool in his thought-provoking 4Sight. His new book looks like a great read too so you can get your hands on a copy now. Book in and join us in two week's time when we will be hearing from the unique Tom Evans. |

I always love going to Kingston it is especially stunning right on the river there in the fabulous spring sunshineat this time of the year plus a truely fabulous bunch of people as well - I am hoping to clone myself or get a time machine so that I can go to 2 meetings at the same time - wouldn't that be fab - I think a lot of 4N'ers would want one as well ;) 3 meetings and 3 very positive actions/results thanks to all and especially to Manuel, Francesca, Martina and Andrew plus the lovely team G x |

Happy Birtday Manuel again - great cake!
I really enjoyed Andrew's talk about focus. It got me thinking again. As much as we all strive for choices in life, deep down there we all seek simplicity and when it comes to ones business, niche and focus are huge demoninators for success. I can see that with the tools I have chosen for my business, NLP and Bowen as a self-healing modality - anything is possible, anybody can benefit from it. This makes finding a certain niche or focus even more difficult. No wonder I have chosen these tools, I love choices and I love seeing lots of people about lots of different problems and illnesses. Committing to one particular clientele almost seems impossible and overwhelming at times.
I liked the analogy Andrew used for "borrowing a chunk" from your fellow networker to find and recommend clients. Put yourself in the shoes of looking for recommendations for somebody, the clearer the mission the easier it is. HELP people HELP comes to mind. Looking at the recent clientele I have been attracting it seems I am getting closer to my "niche". Healthprofessionals and other "seekers" wanting to leave their jobs or have already started their own business helping people become healthy, happier and fulfilled individuals.
Let me borrow one of your chunks to get searching! Thanks for the reminder Andrew.

I was very pleased that so many tucked into the chocolate - it improved the well being of the local ducks in the nearby ponds through absention though I am not sure that the nutritionists would have appoved of full english followed by such delights! Thanks to all for a great start to the day. |
