“There is someone who receives your emails and is spamming business websites with the information. I am sure you have not given the rights to do such a thing! Check this site, http://www.4networking.biz/Forum/ViewForum/9The poster is Russell Barnfield “

I am unable to respond to this message, as the sender did not leave their contact details.

We don’t object to the reproduction of this information.  The terms of the Government Open data licence  (See  http://www.nationalarchives.gov.uk/doc/open-government-licence/) includes the clause to say that you are free to: copy, publish, distribute and transmit the Information;  adapt the Information;  exploit the Information commercially for example, by combining it with other Information, or by including it in your own product or application.  The licence also includes the request to acknowledge the source of the Information by including any attribution statement specified by the Information Provider(s) and, where possible, provide a link to this licence;

Amazingly all I have done is post leads which are no use to me, and as 4Net; I presumed was a friendly place thought the posting of leads with links would help others; as pointed out today’s news = tomorrows chip paper.

The links are posted (the original few I did not) so they can decide whether or not they sign up themselves at the end of the day it is up to the individuals.

It is – nor has it been my intention to cause issue or look for personal gain.

In the recent troubled times any avenue of “Fair Trade” I believe should be shared, as “Off The Record” there are companies that are/have survived recent turmoil by relationships within certain quarters – I have bee a victim of this though I can not prove it officially.

I will stop posting, unless you advise differently.

My sincere apologies for any harm that I may caused – people need to get a life!

Russell - Thanks for your reply - My message was neither to encourage you, or advise against you posting these messages.

I agree with many of your sentiments, and I believe that no harm has been caused.  I also believe that transparency is critically important in this area.

I would encourage you to do what you think is right - I only wanted to make you aware of inputs I had received, and to make you aware that these postings do not contravene any regulations from our side.

I dont have anything to prove to anyone - as I have said I let our work speak for itself - really beginning to wonder if 4Net is for me as a continued medium.

I have placed a "Real" offer of opportunity on the blatant adds and because of this pettiness revolving around the posted leads I believe it is being viewed with squander.

I'd like to point out that this has nothing to do with me, nor do I know anything about it beyond this post. I don't usually feel the need to disclaim something that has nothing to do with me, but after the way the community reacted to another comment I made recently about these posts I somehow feel it might be necessary to pre-empt any accusations or finger pointing, be they out in the open or behind my back.

If I were you Russ I'd just ignore it all and continue using the forum in an appropriate manner. It can be great for your business, there's just an awful lot of chaff to ignore sometimes.

I think this is why it's important that only one person steps in and approaches someone in the first place, regarding any issue / supposed issue / use of forum etc. Namely Stef seen as that is his role.

But I guess thats the down-side to a self-policed forum as such.

This post was by no means aimed at you - and you should not feel that it is.

Being from a Construction background I have had to work with these "Plicks" day in and day out, hence probably why my temperament is moulded the way it is.

I have just taken a phone call from the Buisnees Portal Manager who congratulated me for posting the leads - as he said they are "free" and for everyone to have an opportunity.

He did advise me of the complaint, which triggered his response; he also pointed out the cowardice that it was done with anonymity.

I suggest the person crawls back under the rock from where they came.......................and stay there...................

Just a post to give you my support .Whilst the forums bring out the best in people they also bring out the worst. I have 4sighted at many 4N groups and have never been met with anything but friendliness and courtesy. 

However, a few individuals (and it is a very few!) when given the arms length nature of the forums find it perfectly acceptable to attack in either a vicious or cowardly manner. When they meet you publicly all smiles and welcome but given any chance on the forums they attack with venom.

Your anonymous assassin should have had the courage to pick up the phone and air any grievances to you personally.

So,in conclusion,whilst I haven't got a clue what the rumpus was all about I feel your cowardly attacker should man/woman up and give you a bell .

Russell, I've been reading the various threads / post with interest.

Without wishing to appear unprofessional, [THOSE OF A NERVOUS DISPOSITION PLEASE LOOK AWAY NOW], all I can say is "f*ck 'em".

Some people really do (as you suggest) need to get a life. These forums are fantastic, and there are plenty of positives - I've experienced them.

Unfortunately, there are also a number of dickheads who seem to think that their opinion is the right one, and heaven help anyone who disagrees with them - I've experienced those too.

Live & let live guys - the bloke was just trying to a fellow 4n'er a favour. If you're not interested, or Russell winds you up for some reason, don't open his posts.

I think some people LIVE in the forums and forget how to communicate in the real world.  That's the problem wi' t'internet - there's no body language to read!
