My Company Information

CHS are Electrical Contractors. We carry out all works from Industrial/Commercial down to domestic properties.

It really does not matter if you want an electrical lighting & power solution for your office, designed & installed OR if you just have a faulty socket or switch in your home. We have a team of electricians catered for what ever advice or help you require.

We are used to working on large projects & can work well as a sub-contrator with the main builder/contractor.

CHS are also experts on Electrical Installation Condition Reports. Whether it be a report for insurance purposes, moving into a new domestic or commercial property or renting out to new tenants, we really do cover it all.

About Andrew Hayes-Smith

I started as an apprentice electrician when I was 16. Upon completion of my apprenticeship through to starting CHS in 1998, i worked for just 2 other companys.

So onto ME!

I love family time & have a wife of, very soon to be, 27 years & 2 wonderful daughters. One is now 24 & recently married, the other is 21 & after finishing 3 years at Uni has recently started her career as a Primary School Teacher.

I am a very keen supporter of most sports & until a couple of years ago played badminton 2-3 times a week. My knees now preventing that love & I'm still looking for the right thing to fill that slot. Golf appeals to me but I shall have to get a lot more practice in before I start going round with people!

In the past I have been Chairman of Bexhill Round Table & then went onto to become Area 2 Round Table Chairman. Round Table has got me out doing lots of things I never thought I would & also involved in local fund raising projects. I'm now on the committee of the local village Business Association & we just held a very successful 1st ever StreetFest. It was great to see so many people attending the local village of Little Common.

As a child I was brought up in a musical family. As a result by the age of 8 I was a member of Hooe Village Band. My grandfather being one of the founder members was also then playing along with my Dad, Sister & Uncle. Whilst still play very occasionally I did leave at the age of 17 to play footbal etc. However, have been involved over the last 3-4 years with the band which leads the Bexhill Rememberance Sunday Parade & with the other buglers play Last Post & Revielle.

Well I could go on & bore you all some more but I do need to keep a few secrets!
