When I left school I went to college and gained a City and Guilds certificate in Accounts and Enterprise Management, and a BTEC certificate in Business Administration. After gaining some practical experience at various companies, including Future Publishing, I took up a role with a young company as their office/finance manager. I ran their office and maintained their books for 5 years before moving on to a more finance based role at Virgin Mobile. I stayed with this company for 8.5 years during which time I studied with the IAB (International Association of Bookkeepers) and gained qualifications in Accounting & Advanced Bookkeeping, Accounting to International Standards, and Personal & Business Tax.
I have always loved working for individuals and small companies. In 2009 I started up Softlinks UK so that I could support them in their businesses at a frequency and rate that suited them. I am still as passionate now about helping this sector as I was when I first started the company.
When I am not busy working I can be found on an airfield throwing myself out of a perfectly good aeroplane, packing parachutes or just socialising with other skydivers.
