Joined the Royal Marines in 1972 as a second lieutenant. Served all over the place from Northern Norway to Barbados and saw operational service in Northern Ireland, the Falklands and the Former Yugoslavia. My later appointments were mainly to do with the development and implementation of training strategy (posh way of saying driving a desk).
In 2005 and at the grand age of 51 the MoD decided it was time I became a pensioner and I was put out to grass. Incidentally, in the same year I did my best time ever in the London Marathon, ironic.
I joined 4N in September 2007 and after several years as the Group Leader Exeter I recently became Regional Leader for Devon and Cornwall. I throughly enjoy the opportunity to meet a wide range of people outisde my normal orbit and to promote my businesses.
