I am a Business Developer and Business Coach with over 40 years of senior management experience, gained domestically and internationally.
In that time I have helped a considerable number of businesses who have realised that they need help and have enabled them to regain the 'traction' needed to get their businesses back to where they want them to be.
Success has come by working with my clients to restore structure and discipline; by creating strategic plans for the short, medium and longer term that are living breathing action plans with Buy In from all concerned not just produced as a 'once and for all' and then filed away.
I have also coached clients senior staff, as well as facilitating company meetings which have allowed me to retain client confidence and become a real 'partner' in their business.
I have over a 40 year working history, and have always been in a client facing role. Starting with a sales career at Rank Xerox and learning my skills in a tough competitive environment, I have been able to use my knowledge and practice my life skills in various parts of the world.
Over the last 30 years I have lived in Australia, and the USA twice; most recently in Utah at the HQ of Franklin Covey Co where I was Vice President in charge of Product Development and Manufacturing World-wide. Prior to this I was asked to take over the running of Australia and NZ for 2 years in order to sort out an Operational glitch that had produced a net loss of A$1.4M which I succeeded in turning into a A$500K surplus in 18months. I am also proud to have been responsible for opening the UK operation for Franklin back in 1990 and with only 3 other people grew the business to 53 people turning over £5m in just over 6 years.
I am married to Angela and have been for 42 years and we are lucky enough to have 3 fantastic children Sarah, Richard and Andrew who have given us Jonathan Michelle and Kathleen as further additions to our family. Even better we are the proud grandparents to Robert & Andrew, Alexander & Elizabeth and Kate & Ewan respectively. Angie works as Clerk to School Governers here in Northampton and we get to see all of our 'children' reasonably often (but never enough!).
