Nikki Brown is better known as The UK Dog Whisperer and has indeed earned her reputation as The Canine Angel. Born in 1972, Nikki has spent a lifetime gathering experience In communicating with the canine species and has the astounding ability to truly understand the mind and behaviour of the dog.
Qualified in both human and dog psychologyand an Associate Member Of The Canine Behaviour Centre in Cumbria, Nikki has helped countless pet owners all over the world, find real solutions to their pets health and behavioural problems using her vast knowledge, experience, and amazing ability to communicate with our canine and feline friends.
Nikki is far more than just a dog trainer and believes that many of the current dog training methods are still very out dated and do not provide all the answers to your dog's behavioural and health related problems.
NIkki's Background Story
Nikki understands the problems dog owners can face as she has been through them herself. Nikki's first dog, Jake, a Jack Russell Terrier taught her the biggest lesson in dog leadership skills when one night she let him off the lead and he got hit by a car! Sadly, he died in the vet's the next day with massive internal injuries.
Nikki says "That was the worst day of my life! I felt a tremendous amount of guilt and sadness at what had happened! I felt that if I had been a better dog owner, it wouldn't have happened! Even though Jake was as good as gold around the house, I had no control of him when he was out on the walk."
It was that terrible incident that drove Nikki to start studying and learning about the canine species, Her journey took her all over the world working in different animal sanctuaries gaining valuable insight and hands on experience with some of the most traumatised animals in the world.
'Best Friends' is America's largest animal shelter and is situated in Angels Canyon in Utah. This is where Nikki bought back very fond memories of the work she did with the animals out there and where she got the Angel part of her business name.
Nikki soon realised that what she was learning was valuable and wanted to pass her wealth of knowledge and experience on to others, teaching them what she had learnt about the interaction between human and canine species.
