We are a firm of Independent Financial Advisers, advising our private clients on all aspects of finance, such as investments for income and capital growth, retirement planning, Pension Schemes, life assurance, critical illness cover, income protection, mortgages, Inheritance tax mitigation and buildings & contents insurance.

We also advise our Corporate Clients on all aspects of business protection such as share purchase using cross option agreements, Partnership protection, Key Man Assurance, workplace Pension schemes.

Prior to going into Financial Services, I held positions in senior management. This included National Sales manager and then Sales Director of Power Equipment PLC a firm supplying computer ancillary equipment. I then became General Manager of an American Multinationals UK division, which although highly successful succumbed to recessionary pressures and I was made redundant. I decided that actually, working for myself would be a challenge, obtained the necessary qualifications, and started my career as a Financial Adviser.

I soon recognised that being Independent was key to offering clients the best service possible. I established my own firm Stephen Baker Financial Consultants, as a generalist, offering products and services across the whole of the market..

I have recently become the IFA of choice for BBC Three Counties Radio and now give interviews on the Drive time slot (6 pm until 7 pm) in Luton on the 1 st Tuesday of every month.

I now hold a Diploma in financial planning (QCF4)
