Iconic furniture to captivate the eye and inspire the imagination
Phoenix5 brings breathtakingly beautiful furniture into your personal living spaces, for you to enjoy every day.
Inspired by the harmony of the five elements - wood, water, fire, metal and earth, each design captures the shapes, shadows and textures of the natural and urban landscapes around us. Each is then painstakingly made and hand-crafted to a perfect finish.
Our unique designs of tables, chairs, benches, shelving and lighting all combine a passion for form, function and sheer visual pleasure.
This stunning range is created from both local and globally available materials - antique wood, recycled weather-beaten beams, smooth solid teak, modern sophisticated “Trespa”, polyurethane, plexiglas, acrylic and metals. The finished pieces compliment the materials from which they are made, featuring classic lines with contemporary twists.
Equally at home in indoor or outdoor settings, each individual Phoenix5 piece exists for the same purposes - to be touched as furniture, appreciated as art and simply admired.
I came back to Portsmouth in August 2007, the place that I had my higher education and learned my independence. Along with my other half we have opened a third office for our design and marketing company, Conde Group, in the UK (www.conde-group.com, www.conde-group.co.uk). The company is in its 15th year.
Phoenix5 is my own personal exciting project for 2009 - a collection of contemporary designer furniture, of beautiful quality and handcrafted to a stunning finish. I have pieces on show in my home and every day they make me smile!
My first and last career was with C&W, Macau who took over the telephone company from the local government and it was very rewarding. We opened to a global network of professionals / pioneers from all backgrounds and witnessed tremendous growth from less than 10 staff to over 1000 staff. The number of telephone lines grew from 16,000 to over 250,000 (we destroyed the black market totally!). During my career I worked in finance, customer service, IT systems.
