A FTSE 250, UK based company that nobody has heard of. How strange is that. However they are the current owners of the No 1 European Business as voted by European Magazine, Voted PLC company of the year 2008 by The Financial Times and all the services they provide have been awarded "Best buys" by the consumer bible, The Which Magazine.

You may not have heard of them because they don't advertise, relying solely on word of mouth referrals to gain customers.

The company provides Landlines, mobiles, broadband, gas, electric and non geographic numbers to residential customers and small business owners. All services taken are billed on a unique single billing platform (the only 1 in Europe) and has a UK call centre. They also guarantee to be the cheapest provider in the UK providing you have 4 services with them or they will "double the difference", they will pay up to £200 of any cancellation fees charged by other providors if you cancel a contract to move to UW, AND, yes a BIG and, they will pay 10% of your energy usage at the end of year 1 as a thank you. Brilliant but there is more.

However on top of that we offer our customers a cash card with 3 to 7% discount with a huge number of high street stores and a discount plan if they introduce their family or friends to us. They also have an online shopping mall with discounts at thousands of stores including ASDA and Tesco, and a "find me the cheapest" search engine that does just that - and give you cash back as well.

With great value, the cash back card, web site and customer discount plan they now have customers that are paid every month. What other Utility provider offers that?

Not really though. The facts above are true but in reallity i'm fun to be around - well i think so anyway.

Ex RAF Air Traffic controller, so went grey well before my time with all the stress that caused. After 25 years i came out and relaxed by opening my own computer shop. What an eye opener that was.
