Who are we?
“You are setting up a business together?” Mike's dad said. “You'll be under each other's feet 24/7” he added. “I can't imagine anything worse - can you imagine me and your mother?” he added further. We thanked him for his encouraging words of wisdom, ignored his comments and set up Potential Unearthed in 2009.
We believe that we are different to other similar providers (well we would say that wouldn't we?!). We only deal in areas that we are truly passionate about and the ones that we have first hand experience in, so you can relax in the safe knowledge that we really do know what we are talking about with the added bonus that we have already been there and made the mistakes for you!

Potential Unearthed specialise in areas such as Presentation Skills Training/ Coaching, Management Development, Trainer Development and assistance and guidance with business projects.

Hi I'm Mike Ode and I run Potential Unearthed
A Wiganer born and bred, I took the difficult decision to emigrate to Chorley (13miles) back in 1998
I am married to Sarah, who is also a Director of Potential Unearthed and we have a son Harry who was born in 2007. I'm still trying to convert him into an Evertonian without much success
My career in training started with the Benefits Agency back in 1997. Since then I have held various Training Officer and Manager positions within Retail, Local Government and more recently at a Top 60 Law Firm
My real passion lies in 1:1 Business and Presentation Skills Coaching, Management Development and Personal Development. I love helping people achieve their personal and business goals no matter how big or small.
I am a member of the Association for Coaching and hold a Post Graduate Diploma in Human Resource Management
