Hampshire School of Hypnotherapy
This was set up by experienced therapist and teacher Lorraine Gleeson. Lorraine qualified as a Hypnotherapist with the Institute of Natural Therapy in December 2004. She then went on to become a Clinical Hypnotherapist studying with the Proudfoot School of Hypnosis in October 2005. She gained a Hypnotherapy diploma in May 2006 finally studying NLP in November 2007. Lorraine has been an acknowledged tutor on a GHSC Validated Training Course since 2008. In 2009, she sponsored Roy Hunter an Internationally acclaimed Hypnotherapist and studied Tebbetts Parts Therapy and in 2011 Trained as a Certified Parts Therapy Trainer.
Hypnotherapy
Hypnosis has been used for thousands of years in the treatment of ailments. Only recently has it been realised that it can have therapeutic applications and the profession of Hypnotherapy was born. Hypnotherapy combines the two disciplines of Hypnosis and Psychotherapy to produce an effective widespread therapy that can be used by trained professionals to facilitate the treatment of a variety of ailments.
The success of this type of therapy has improved its reputation over the last few years with the widespread use of the anti smoking treatments and more recently, the Hypno Gastric Band.
Qualifying as a Hypnotherapist with my partner Pete in December 2004 with the Institute of Natural Therapy, we wanted to learn NLP and other Hypnotherapy techniques, so started and qualified in a series of courses with Proudfoot School of Clinical Hypnosis & Psychotherapy. I ran my therapies from my shop The Magick Bean Coffee Shop in Southsea and my home in Clanfield. In 2008 I went on to qualify as a teacher of hypnotherapy under the INT umbrella and have several therapists now growing their own practices. I have worked successfully with over 1,000 clients dealing with many different problems and emotional probems, including stress, IBS, confidence, self worth, concentration, focusing. Weight, including Hypno-band, hypnotherapy version of the Gastric Band, which is very successful. Fears and phobias. I sold my shop in 2009 using the therapy room there until February this year and have now moved a therapy room in Palmerston Road Southsea.
