About Liane Bayliss

The Lovely Liane, from the Russell Hotel Maidstone!!!  Well, where do I start!!  I am a mother of 2 wonderful children, Tommy, 8 and Georgia 11, married to Dave for the past 12 years, and I live on the outskirts of Maidstone, and have done for the past 14 years.  Originally, from "Planet Thanet", born in Margate hospital, and lived in surrounding villages of Westgate, Garlinge and Cliftonville.  I attended Dane Court Grammar School, and Thanet Technical College, where I studied Business & Finance.  Soon after this, I moved to London, working for Thorley Taverns, in the hospitality trade, which led me to travelling the world, backpacking!!

Returning back home, in Cliftonville, immediately returned to London, where I continued working for Thorley Taverns, but eventually my career changed into a couple of Marketing and Sales roles, and led me into the Car industry, where I met my husband.  Having worked for Lexus and Toyota, we moved to Bexleyheath, from London, and  I joined Volkswagen as Fleet Executive, selling cars to the corporate market, and promoting the brand to local businesses.  Within my first year I achieved the accolade of  Fleet Sales Executive for Volkswagen UK, and won a holiday of a lifetime to South Africa, in 1999.  I also got married later on that year in St Petersburg, Florida, and soon after, fell pregnant with my first child, Georgia.  I did a short stint as a Sales Executive for Thomson Local Directories, where I soon returned to the car industry with the Audi Brand, as a Business Development Manager.  My son, Tommy come along 3 years later, and full time work and pressure soon started to take it's toll!!!  I gave up full time work when he was 18months old, but continued working as a Pampered Chef Consultant, a Direct Selling Company, selling kitchen equipment and arranging "parties".

Trying to get the work life balance has been difficult over the last few years trying to be the best mum I can be, earn money, run a house and be a good wife!!!! Oh, and look after a dog and a cat????

I then took a job at Leeds Castle, in the Sales & Hospitality department which was wonderful, very busy, but again the hours got out of control and child care costs escalated, so again, the work life balance decision had to be made.  A couple of part time jobs later, I found the advertisement for Sales Manager of the Russell Hotel, Maidstone, Part-Time which fitted my requirements.

I am a big believer in People buy People, so what ever industry you are involved in, if people don't like you or trust you, then they won't buy from you.

So if you are thinking of arranging a meeting, a conference,  a private party, a wedding, anniversary or birthday celebration, then come and see me at the Russell Hotel.
