Born and bred in Sheffield. Joined the Financial Services Industry in 1979, spending 8 years as a Financial Adviser with Abbey Life. Then spent 2 years in Training and Management Development, before moving into Management in 1989 and building a Branch of 42 Advisers in Chesterfield, Derbyshire.
Appointed Operations Director (South) for Abbey Life in 1992, building and leading a Team of 55 Managers and over 700 self-employed Financial Advisers. After 7 years in this role, left to set up as an Independent Financial Adviser, gaining the Chartered Insurance Institute Advanced FPC Qualification, including G60 (Pensions) and G10 (Taxation & Trusts).
Also held Director level positions at Foster Denovo, and Millfield Partnership (both National IFA Companies).
Professional Conference and After-Dinner Speaker since 1998.
Currently provides Financial Advice to Personal & Corporate Clients, particularly Pensions and Investment planning.
Interests: Golf, Sailing, Ski-ing, Piano, suffering as a Sheffield Wednesday supporter.....
