Mark Dowding (Intelligent Driving- advanced driver training for business)
Intelligent driving specialises in advanced driver training for the business community. We help companies meet their duty of care obligations and reduce their driving related costs.
Under the 2007 Corporate Manslaughter Act, an employer must assess the risk that a driver faces on the road.
Protective measures must be put in place to minimise the risks. If an employee was killed whilst driving for work (or kills someone else) and the employer is unable to prove that they protected the staff member from the risks, consequences can be severe .
Individual board members and others who are responsible for the failures can be prosecuted and potentially face prison. Financial penalties could be 10% of the organisations annual turnover!
Corporate driver training reduces the risk of of an employee getting involved in a crash.
Training options include:
-Interactive 'drivesafe' workshops.
-On road-advanced driving for people who drive for a living. Friendly and non judgemental training
-Tailored health and safety driver training policies
Intelligent Driving- Reducing costs - protecting drivers.
I have been in the industry for 12 years, and am known for the quality of service that I offer. Over the years I have trained drivers from many companies, including Johnson and Johnson, John Lewis and Sky News, for example
More recently, I ran several 'drivesafe' workshops for Glaxo Smith Kline,as well as Barclays bank.
Prior to this, I was a social worker for a number of years and the people skills I learnt there really help me when I talk with exisiting and potential new clients.
In my work, I love the buzz I get from training people and seeing the change of attitude towards safer driving. Road safety can be a little dull, if the message is delivered in the wrong way.
Huge benefits are potentially available from driver training and courses are delivered in a modern and dynamic format and we receive excellent testimonials from our clients.
