I was brought up by my grandparents in Woodbridge suffolk. Having to give up studying law after leaving school due to financial constraints I discovered accounting by accident! I progressed through my corporate career to the role of Finance Director of a multi national shipping company a role which I held for 16 years.

After 25 years in the world of big business reporting to The Board of Directors advising accounting results, financial analysis, strategy development and business decisions with a turnover in excess of £92 million, employing some 600 employees I jumped ship (literally) and decided to set up my own practice.

My corporate experience means I have a real grasp of administrational efficiency and profitability. “I used technology and business analysis in the form of management accounts to recognise areas needing attention to maximise growth and profits, which, in turn, drives business strategy,” she says, adding, “There is no doubt in my mind that a company will not grow or achieve its maximum potential without this information.”

Running a team of accountants has given me an all round knowledge of business needs and much of this knowledge is now used for the benefits of my clients. I am passionate about making the figures work for my clients' businesses.
