With offices in Huddersfield and Wakefield, The Design Mechanics are the first creative design company to work to a full price list for everything we do. Our approach is fundamentally different to normal design firms - we spend a lot of time initially taking you through a highly structured and comprehensive briefing process to ensure that we get the first design proof right (or nearly right) every single time! This in turn, saves you time and money and keeps the project on a tight time scale.

I've personally been involved in the design industry since 2001 - initially as a sole trading website designer and then, in 2006 I merged with Dave Pannel to create The Design Mechanics - our clear goal was to create a wholly different kind of design agency that worked for SME businesses to a price list.
Prior to 2001 I spent 20 years in verious marketing roles and have worked in a range of environments from capital equipment supply, serviced offices, training providers, IT distribution and the automotive industry. My experience is fundamentally in the 'B2B' (Business to Business) arena where I have a wealth of knowledge.
My spare time (if any!!!) is spent with Lucy my girlfriend and Carrie-Ann, my 12 year old daughter. We love walking in the Pennine hills, cycling and swimming.
My personal ambition is to eat more and weigh less and in business my key to success is "make a decision and then make it the right decision!"
