My name is Marcos Clowes
In April 2010 a friend of mine was planning to run the Edinburgh Marathon, 6 weeks before the event she got injured and was very upset at not been able to keep her promise to her chosen charity.
In a moment of madness I offered to run in her place - 6 weeks prior to the event!
I had not considered that I had never ran more than a couple of miles, neither had I considered that I was 3 stones over my ideal weight.
I contacted Herbalife and they introduced me to their healthy weight loss nutrition programme of Formula 1, Formula 2 and Formula 3 weight loss products and also to their Sports Nutrition programme.
6 weeks later I completed the marathon, I took me 5 hours and 40 minutes in 28 degrees celsius sunshine (slow but I made it!)
After the event I called the guy who had introduced me to Herbalife products and thanked him for helping me achieve a dream of mine, I know that sounds corny but that is how I really felt and I still feel the same way.
Martyn from Herbalife asked me if I would be interested in getting involved in the Herbalife business on a professional basis and I explained that I had a well paid job as a Director of a £700m Worldwide Logistics Business and therefore didn't really have to much time to spare.
Martyn asked if I would be involved when I had the time and I agreed.
That was June 2010 and by November 2010 my Herbalife business had become so successful for me that I resigned from the rat race to focus on the Herbalife business I love.
I wake up every morning in the knowledge that today I will be helping someone achieve their goals either through their improved well being or through helping them earn the money they deserve to make.
