About Mandy Carr

I established HR Solutions in 2008, having worked in HR, personnel and training for many (many) years in both strategic and hands-on operational roles, up to HR Director level, cross a diverse range of industry sectors. During this time I gained experience within the retail, IT, entertainment, manufacturing and catering industries.

In my last permanent role I headed up the HR Department of a large logistics and transportation company employing over 2000 people in the UK. Within this unionised environment I delivered strategic HR initiatives that brought about significant cost savings through productivity improvements.

Since 2008 I have been working with SME’s to help them align their employee relations processes to their business growth targets. I avoid jargon and mounds of paperwork so believe that I offer business owners and managers pragmatic solutions to the challenges that they face. I offer practical advice that allow them to remain compliant with legislation without being over burdened by it. In addition to HR support I write and deliver a wide range of training programmes to encourage managers to be more confident handling day-to-day HR issues. I use online 360° questionnaires or psychometric assessments when required to support clients in areas such as recruitment, team building, executive coaching, personal development and succession planning.

Outside of work, I am a Governor at a local Secondary School as I believe passionately that as employers we need to focus not just on current employees but future generations of employees as well.
