| Picture Framing |
The Picture Framers Chelvey & Gallery 370 is a Picture Framing service to the general public, businesses, artists & photographers. Opened in 2004, it lies just off the A370 on Brockley Lane, Chelvey (between Cleeve & Backwell).
Offering a truly personal service, customers drop in from both surrounding towns & villages as well as further afield.
All framing is undertaken on-site in our rural open plan workshop in Chelvey and we offer a made to measure service. Come and say hello, discuss your needs or ask us for an estimate.
In addtion, Georgina writes for a framing blog under the name of Framing Fairy. Using social media, Framing Fairy provides an insight in the skills and expertise of Picture Framing. You'll find how to guides, news, entertainment, opinions, hints & tips plus anything else in the remit! You can also find her on Twitter (username @framingfairy). Love to see you there!
If you like, you can become a Framers Chelvey fan on Facebook.
We look forward to hopefully welcoming you in the future.
(directions from Weston-Super-Mare: passing through Congresbury on the way to Bristol, continue to the Airport traffic lights, with Brockley Farm Shop on your left, turn left at the traffic lights onto Brockley Lane, follow for half a mile, not turning off, continue past Chelvey Kennels & Solar Sense & we are the turning just after on the right. Parking is available in front of the warehouse immediately as you turn in. Parking is freely available for all Chelvey Designer Maker & Picture Framing customers. Follow the path around to our workshop.)
Hello, I’m Georgina & I co-own The Picture Framers Chelvey & Gallery 370 currently based in Cleeve with my business partner Andy the Framer (no, not handy the framer ... although, he is). I run all aspects of the non glamorous side of the business as well as the more glamorous side of home design trends, networking, social media, marketing, & blogging.
After working in an office for far too long and being a bit fed up of my IT Training career in London, 7 years ago, I was given the opportunity to set up in business.
My Dad has been an amateur Photographer for as long as I can remember and my Sister is an extremely gifted Fine Artist. I’ve always admired them both greatly. I followed my interest in Photography but felt disengaged with my creative side, as I just never thought I had it in me.
When I moved to the South West, I took a City & Guilds in Photography (and passed it!) and later, this was the idea behind the business I currently run but it’s all about the Framing now (and rightly so!).
It’s the best thing that’s ever happened to me. I’ve gone from not knowing a single thing, thinking that I haven’t a creative bone in my body to wanting to shout to anyone that’ll listen about all things framing. I’ve discovered a love for colour, design & service that I didn’t even know was there!
I wanted to combine my love of framing and interior design with communication and technology, hence starting a blog under the name of framing fairy. I like to share my knowledge and thoughts, help with tips or if possible, solve problems.
I firmly believe in service and our fresh approach has always put our customers at the heart of our business.
Whilst the standard of framing & knowledge is key, Andy and I were brought together by our love of interior design and creativity. We try to engage our customers fully in the whole framing process, making it fun, informative & non-intimidating whilst still keeping our service personal and professional.
We are moving in October 2011 to Brockley Lane off the A370 - please visit our website for more information.
