About Jimmy Mavroudis

Over an 18-year career in a number of creative industries, I have developed the ability to thoroughly research projects, analyse situations, propose creative solutions and bring projects to completion under budget and within time deadlines.

I graduated with a HND in Spatial Design in 1994 and thus began my career in Media. I was given the opportunity to work for the childrens department at Sky Television as a set designer/prop maker and after a good few years later, Stage Manager.

After 4 years I decided to freelance and worked as a Set Designer & Art Director  for a variety of programs and films on Channel 4, BBC, Sky Television and Warner Brothers.

During this time I co-launched a free monthly magazine called "Kool" aimed at the 18-30's market. At it's peak it had a circulation of 60,000 and appeared in an exhibition at the Tate Gallery titled "Influences of British Youth".

This was sold and my career in publications was set. I began working for the Archant group on 6 newspaper titles and 3 magazine titles as a graphic designer and a few years later, as a sub-editor. In 2004 I moved to Cyprus to work on the Cyprus Mail as sub-editor. I was responsible for subbing news and features, writing headlines and captions. liaising with writers to get copy in on time, edit copy onscreen and checking proofs. I also wrote and edited the technology page, as well as writing gadget reviews.

I came back to Norwich in 2010 with a new family in hand. Disillusioned with the spiralling cost of my stationery purchases, I decided to start my own business with the simple aim of making office supplies affordable.
