A little while ago,I received a call from a very worried gentleman who had received a very large tax demand from HMRC which he just could not understand. He'd telephoned them and tried to get an idea of why he owed them such a large sum of money. He couldn't understand what they were talking about!! So he took the correct route. He called me!! I told him to send me the letter he'd got from them and 4 weeks later I'd managed to reduce the amount he owed by over 50%!! What might seem like rocket science to those not in the tax field,is likely to be everyday fodder to the accountant. What he saves you in tax more than makes up for the fee you'll have to pay him for his expertise and leave you with a little more in your pocket to celebrate that tax saving !!

I'm 58,married with no children

I live in Patchetts Green close to Aldenham which lies between Bushey and Radlett

I've been in the accountancy profession since 1972,spending 14 years with 2 West End firms which no longer exist,not,I should stress,due to my departure from either!!!

In 1986,I set up my own practice which has since evolved (well it would have done otherwise I'd not being doing this!!!) and now services a portfolio of clients of different types,in different sectors and with differing requirements. I work from home and offer a very personised service because I have no staff so you have only little old me to deal with!!!!

My interests range from sporting,football specifically,running,cycling and swimming,the gym,a good book and the 2 which require you guys to give me your business...eating out and travel!!!!!
