I'm Rachel Perry and I offer social media training courses and social media management. My training style focuses on interactivity, using social media sites 'live' to gain hands-on skills. Also, for a small number of businesses I can maintain and manage your Facebook or Twitter presence.

Social Media Training

I run training courses for business owners who have identified they need to up-skill in social media. Usually I conduct these courses to small groups, at a convenient location.

Training is interactive, with social networks being used ‘live’. You are shown the tools and features you need to know to use the network effectively.

All courses cover social media etiquette, vital in ensuring that you don't damage the reputation of your business. You receive handouts written by me and I also provide follow up assistance beyond each course.

Facebook Essentials - new to Facebook? This guides you through setting up a Facebook business page and provides key info on how to keep your audience engaged.
Facebook Advanced – for those who use Facebook personally but would like to use it for business. Course covers advanced options like custom pages and Facebook advertising.
Twitter for Business – new to Twitter? What it is, how it works, how you can use it for your business.
LinkedIn for Business – LinkedIn is more than just completing a profile: I teach you how to develop conversations and make yourself visible.

Social Media Training for Employees

While a business owner may have decided to engage with social media, an employee may have been told to do it on behalf of a company.

For this reason, I offer the LinkedIn or Twitter for Business courses as a two day package and involve another experienced business coach too. Together, we cover the same information as in the courses above, but crucially we also cover aspects such as finding time for social media, the mindset of the business and how to deal with saboteurs, those who undermine social media activities.

This ensures that your staff are trained in how to use social media effectively AND they will be coached to support each other as well. This business coaching can be implemented into other areas of your business too.

Social Media Management Services

For a small number of businesses I can maintain and manage your Facebook or Twitter presence. This requires a close working relationship and I only agree contracts with businesses that I know I can add value to.

I can fully set up your Twitter and Facebook profiles and then I offer a management service for updating and engaging with your new and potential customers.

I charge a daily rate and we agree how many days' worth of management your business requires per month. This usually evolves into me dipping into your social media account and updating and responding on a near daily basis, and with the time adding up to the agreed number of days' management.

I am lucky enough to enjoy a unique varied career starting with my work in customer service and sales for BT, Marks & Spencers and The AA.

I then trained in Trading Standards and was an operational officer for 4 years when I moved to Nisa-Todays to work in their quality assurance department.

I then set up my own consultancy business and more recently I work as a SEFDI accredited business advisor for e-factor in NE Lincolnshire.

In summary my experiences and qualifications include:
ISO9001.2000, BRC Global Food Standard, Intermediate HACCP, Intermediate Food Hygiene, accredited Sfedi Business Advisor, social media for business.

I've also done a few crazy things in my time! I had an hour on the Fourth Plinth in Trafalgar Square as part of Antony Gromley's 'One and Other' programme in 2009.

I recreated my 8th birthday party which my husband and friends joining in on the ground!

I've also done a parachute jump which was a brilliant experience that I would recommend to all :-)
