My Company Information

Started in 2006 Your Chef are a professional catering company.  Frustrated by the limitations of working for someone else..(or perhaps I just don't like being told what to do..!!) I wanted the give customers exactly what they wanted and not something from a predetermined package.  I began doing the odd buffet here and there and mainly by word of mouth things have grown to the level where I am now, and I am in the process of moving into new and bigger premises.

We cater for anyone doing anything (legal ofcourse) including things like hot and cold buffets, corporate events, weddings, balls and birthday parties.  When I am installed in my new premises I will be selling  desserts and cakes and pies and all sorts of home made things. We tailor the menu to your specific requirements and because no two events are ever the same every one is new and interesting.

We use local produce wherever possible, we support local businesses by buying from them wherever possible and we only ever use free range eggs, just to keep the chickens happy!!

About Chris Sharpe

Well who is going to read this bit....?? I will make it brief...

I left Grimsby Tech College in 1984 with a BTec Diploma in Hotel management and catering.  I did some fromt of house work but always found my passion fuelled by the kitchen more than anything else. I worked around the area gaining experience and evetually bought the Cross Keys Public house at Grasby with a former business partner.  We had that for 3 years and after that I worked as sous chef at a couple of places before securing the position of head chef at Forest Pines Golf Club, which I loved.  I had always wanted to teach my subject and eventually decided to leave full time employment to get my teaching qualifications, which I did....then I worked part time teaching whilst setting up my business to run along side.  Eventually business became too busy and the catering department at the college closed...and here I am working full time (and more besides) for my company...I hope you are still awake...not overly interesting but I tried my best!
