Spain Brothers is an established firm of Chartered Accountants with offices in Canterbury, Dover and Folkestone.
Our hallmark is over 100 years of working with businesses and individuals in South East England, with clients ranging from individuals and sole traders through to international groups of companies.
We endeavour to provide our clients with a first-class service - helping our business clients to achieve greater profitability, and our individual clients to enjoy greater wealth.
At Spain Brothers our team of reliable, approachable and proactive accountants will work alongside you to help achieve your financial goals, while offering effective solutions to move your business forward.
I am an analytical person – I consider all the outcomes to come up with the best solution. I don’t rush in to making decisions but think about finding the best route to achieve the right result for you or your business.
This means I think about you and your business - the position you are in, where you want to be and how you can get there.
I use the information I get when preparing your accounts and tax to advise you on mimimising your tax bills while still remaining compliant within the law. But I also consider the other commercial or personal impacts to ensure you receive balanced advice.
I work with individuals, start-up businesses, family owned firms and UK subsidiaries of multinational groups.
I have experience in many business sectors including manufacturing, retail and wholesale, solicitors, pension schemes, consultants, vets amongst others.
I help individuals and businesses meet regulatory and statutory deadlines, to avoid penallties and ensure compliance with the law.
I particularly like one-off project work - specific advisory work can be challenging when having to consider personal, commercial and financial and various tax impacts all together, but being able to advise clients on the various options open to them and assisting them in deciding on the best route for them is very satisfying particularly when that result is achieved.
Maintaining high standards in the firm is important to me to produce the best results for our clients – training staff and keeping up to date with latest technical information all helps me with this.
At the end of the day I am fair-minded and look for the best in people, trying to understand what drives them and makes them tick – whether clients, colleagues, family or friends.
