SimWay Business Solutions is a new management consultancy business set up by experienced change/delivery managers. SimWay's senior consultants aim to work with businesses who want to implement change, providing expert practical support along every step of the way. Many traditional consultants identify problems and make recommendations, SimWay wants to deliver actual change, capture benefits and make savings.

Our approach is simple, no-nonsense, and jargon free. With our background in delivering change in both public and private sector organisations, we have considerable experience of managing and delivering all aspects of change. This includes re-designing policies, procedures and processes but also taking staff with us on the change programme through effective engagement, designing/delivering bespoke training programmes and designing and running workshops and conferences.

At the heart of our business ethos is ethics and honesty with our reputation being as important to us as yours is to you. For that reason we will not take on all requests for work. If we can help we will tell you how. If we can't help we will tell you why.

We offer a free, no obligation, initial consultation to discuss a business' needs and to do some initial scoping of what is required. Whilst we refer to tried and tested models in our work, our view is that every business is different and every business requires a different approach. For that reason we design new models to help identify what needs to be done and new methods to effectively deliver change. We agree what we will do and how we will do it with clients, working as partners and facilitators, as well as trainers and coaches. What we do depends entirely on what the client wants.

We have adopted this approach because of our experience of change, and we believe effective change and project delivery requires senior management commitment to change and staff buy in. Whilst we develop lasting relationships with our clients, we aim to 'skill-up' our client's workforce so that we leave a change management legacy when our initial work is complete.

About Simon Deacy

I am a retired police Chief Superintendent. Between 2004 and 2010 I was responsible for the introduction of 168 witness care units throughout all 43 police forces in England and Wales and worked as the national police project manager to support delivery of that huge change programme. I have also supported change and modernisation of the criminal justice systems by introducing better victim and witness services internationally, most notably in Bermuda and Chile and currently in the Bahamas.

Because of my work in delivering change and better services to victims and witnesses I received an OBE in the Queen's Birthday Honours 2011 for 'services to victims and witnesses'.

Having worked myself into the ground between 2004 and 2010 I took twelve months off to re-charge my batteries and set new objectives for myself. I am now keen to use my experience to support public, private and voluntary sector organisations in delivering change, maximising benefits, and increasing profits in a way that enhances the customer experience and adds value to society. Whilst I am very proud of my 31 year police career, I feel that drifting away into retirement would be a waste of the skills and experience I have gained as I still remain highly energised towards a life long drive to make a difference.
