My aim in life was to gain as much knowledge as I could and become Business Consultant emulating my Grandfathers distinguished career. Getting here has been a long, hard but enjoyable journey working from the ground floor up the top of the corporate ladder.
In 2005 I took a leap of faith and set up my own business AMAC Business Solutions to take control of my life and to share my experience with individuals and companies to save them from repeating the errors I have made and encountered.
The pathway to achieving my goal was chosen for me when I left school at 16 as the family needed and extra income I was thrust into an apprenticeship as a Cabinet Maker in the East End of London (at school I excelled at wood work!) which lead to a career in Furniture Retailing.
On completing my apprenticeship I went to work for the most prestigious international retailer in the world, joining as a Management Trainee, where my peers gave me the knowledge I needed to progress and become a general manager and then a Director.
As my career evolved my wife, daughter and son were uprooted to live in Mauritius and then the West Indies giving us all life changing experiences.
My work still takes me to far off places, Indonesia, Hong Kong, China and most recently Trinidad to advise on business strategies.
I am a Liveryman with the Worshipful Company of Furniture Makers and assist with fundraising events for their chosen charities. I collect Chinese porcelain, an ardent car booter and frequent visitor to antique and collector fairs (buyer and seller).
