Cost effective websites to boost your business
Originally from Leicester, I have lived in Skegness, Lincoln, Bristol, Swindon, London, and Folkestone. I now live in Westerham, Kent (London Borough of Bromley). I have worked in IT since 1979.
I started my IT career aged 19 at Nationwide Building Society. I left 5 years later and moved to London to go IT contracting, where life was wild, rich and on the whole tax-free! I contracted for BP, Gulf International Bank, and Transport for London in computer operations and PC & Network / server support until 2003. I started web design in the mid 90's and since then I have built online shops using Actinic/Seller Deck and promoted them. I have also run Ebay shops, and created hundreds of web pages.
My web design since the start of 2012 is almost entirely limited to Wordpress sites. They are easy and quick to build, therefore cost effective. The end user can easily update with basic training.23% of all new websites use Wordpress and that's for not for no reason! :) They look professional and there are thousands of plugins, many of those free, which reduce the cost of producing a smart, professional website. I also maintain the backups, software and security of 50+ WordPress sites. Find out more by clicking here.
In 2013 I became a distributor with Utility Warehouse. This was a hugely positive decision and increased my confidence and people skills, and has also given me an income. I have 70 people in the team as I write this. Find out more by clicking here. I joined 4N in July of that year - £100 for 100 days at the Kingswood launch, but didn't really use the membership and only attended a few times. I rejoined in July 2015, determined to make it work, and I have! I have gained a lot of business through 4N both directly and indirectly. I have met some wonderful people whom I have a huge amount of respect for, and made some great friendships a lot of which I am sure will be with me for life!
