Tessa Jowell, MP - Minister for the Olympics, has been confirmed as the keynote speaker at the Business Live 08 VIP lunch at Ascot Racecourse next month. Ms Jowell will discuss how businesses in the region can get involved in the London 2012 Olympics. She has said: “We are more determined than ever that every part of the country shares in this great national project and contributes to delivering the best Games ever.”
Business Live 08, which takes place at Ascot Racecourse on 15<sup>th</sup> July is organised by Thames Valley Chamber of Commerce Group and Ten Alps plc,a factual media company co-founded by Bob Geldof. The event promises to bring a wealth of experts, seminars, panel discussions and demonstrations, covering a range of topics from transport to employment law.
The Liberal Democrat’s Treasury Spokesman Vince Cable has already been confirmed as the keynote speaker at the Business Breakfast, which will also give early birds the opportunity to tour the exhibition before the event opens at 10.00am.
Tessa Jowell is the dedicated Minister for the Olympics. She is based in the Cabinet Office and co-chairs the Olympic Board.
Meanwhile, a competition of a different nature is already hotting up - for the Business Live Excellence Award which will be presented at a champagne reception at Business Live 08.
