New Year Resolutions and Hypnotherapy
This is the year I achieve optimum fitness and health, learn Japanese and get rich!!

Sound familiar?
For many people, the New Year is a time for self reflection and appraisal. New Years Resolutions are often made at this time and whilst for some, setting goals will be enough to generate the results they want, many will start the year with good intentions, perhaps make some changes and then find they gradually revert to old patterns of behaviour.
Why is this?
If our behaviour is completely in line with our intentions or goals then there isnt a problem. However, for most of us, even if we are entirely clear on what our goals are, and even if we understand what we need to do in order to achieve them we find that our behaviour is not always conducive to making that happen.
Human beings are creatures of habit - that is to say that our behaviour is mostly habitual. The vast majority of what we do on a daily basis, we do subconsciously - we dont think about it consciously.
Consider this for a minute: If we had to apply conscious thought to everything we did, we would need to actually think about breathing, digesting and walking. We would need to think about getting out of bed in the morning. In fact, we would need to think about opening our eyes, and then about sitting up and then about putting one leg out of bed. We dont think about any of this our subconscious mind simply takes care of it for us. Because our subconscious mind drives our behaviour.
Whatever the focus of the conscious mind, the subconscious will present to it the feeling, emotion, sensation, or behavioural reaction it already associates with that experience. It does this based on what it believes to be true. If you have ever been aware of doing or saying anything automatically, that you know is not in your best interests, or that you would prefer not to have said or done, then you have witnessed this process at work. We can all credit our instilled belief systems as the primary source of this kind of behaviour. The problem is that most of the time, we are not consciously aware of the beliefs and values that influence our lives in negative ways.
Whats the Solution?
Whatever our conscious goals are, our subconscious beliefs and values need to be aligned with them in order for us to achieve what we desire. We need to modify our belief systems and subsequent behavioural patterns so that they become supportive of our conscious desires and goals, and make more desireable bahaviour automatic so that we do positive things naturally and without thinking about it.
How?

Clinical Hypnotherapy is a safe and non-invasive therapy which enables direct access to the subconscious mind, the source of our behaviour. Hypnosis itself is an altered state of mental and physical awareness which occurs when the brainwave frequency slows down.   It is a natural state of relaxation of the body and mind and one that we all experience frequently, when we daydream or just before and after we sleep. In this altered state, a person experiences extreme relaxation which enables the body to rejuvenate and restore balance.  For many people, the hypnotic experience can have a profound effect in itself.
Hypnotherapy works by directly accessing the subconscious mind and making changes to the belief systems which may be preventing the desired changes. New, positive, affirming beliefs and principles are then created and reinforced, establishing new ways of thinking and behaving and subsequently, creating the basis of a much more positive, healthy and happy life.

Hypnotherapy can help you to identify and change the beliefs and behaviours preventing you from achieving your goals. With Hypnotherapy you can make 2008 the year you kept and achieved all your New Year resolutions!
