That Secret TV
“Hide the secret TV, buy some confidence games and plan your perfect Christmas now!”
It is now October. As the shops begin to display a full range of seasonal gift ideas, like the secret TV you might buy or even one of those confidence games, they are putting into action a plan that was more than likely formulated almost a year ago.
For many of us, Christmas is a last minute rush and an expensive time of rampant consumerism and materialism.
This is a good time to start planning your own perfect Christmas. Not in a materialistic sense, but in a sense that is measured by contentment and satisfaction.
A lot of Christmas stress results from you trusting in luck that everything will be alright rather than taking control and ensuring that you actually make everything as you want it to be. What would you choose to do if failure was not possible? This awareness will be the best Christmas present that you can give yourself.
It is nowhere near as selfish as it sounds either.
Once you discovered a plan for your life and achievements and are working towards its fulfilment, all the other areas of your life improve as well. Partners, relatives and colleagues alike will notice a new sense of purpose, a new enthusiasm and a contagious happiness.
Unlike the secret TV for your partner, or the confidence games for the kids, you may not be able to wrap all this up in pretty paper but even so, its value is beyond measure!
