Promoting Helen Lawrence's Employment Law forum via her rather excellent E-mail newsletter? And I'm E-mailing all Oxfordshire based members telling them about it.
Aren't you about to do a big style E-mail promoting it?
And do we have any moles on other forums who could promote it in there as well?

Or just E-mail a pdf to the AL's for them to do? Doesn't have to be great quality if it get's the message out there.
Then you could have them out there from Tuesday.

For the business ones, you could ask people to put a link to their forum on their own site?
I could do:
'For regularly updated marketing hints and tips' etc etc etc
Or even put a RSS feed on their site.
Ooh, like that, going to take a look at my site now.

the problem is IMHO I don't know what its for and how its different from the normal bits on the forum?
One of the key things though is the fact that it can be made private from google. Just my thoughts.

so for the 6500 registered users of 4N to post on your site they have to seperately register.. correct.
Well 4commuity allow one registratin and users can the jump in between 'communities'..

I don't get the leaflet thing. We are all here, what's the point?
Some people find making a forum scary I suppose. I'm not the most unconfident of people but it was scary, particularly when no one posts. Maybe us all getting together and supporting each others forums etc would rock more. At the minute, the only problem I see from my forum is like page 2 of my existing topics shows an error message. Plus maybe if you added an extra section on people's existing forums, something like, New forums, take a look, I'd be more than happy to promote others and also add them to mine and the gift of giving goes on and on and on.....

We're not all here, that's the point. Most of the breakfast networking members don't come on here. There is a huge difference between the members who attend breakfast meetings and those on here, and 4C could be just the way of encouraging them to come in.

Tantrumming aside, I think I already covered the existing posters on here by saying we support each others forums, so where do leaflets come into that? People who attend breakfast meetings, they either post or they don't, in my opinion there should be some charm offensive going on saying how it will benefit them having their forum, blah blah blah in the group leader speech and even then you will have to give examples of success for it to be credible.
The leaflet thing just doesn't make sense, unless you print and give links to successful active forums the distribution of leaflets will die on its ass, but this is 4N's baby, so we all need to help each other.
I'm probably wrong again.
