1. Last night I tried twice to upload a pic of me as my avatar. Said it was done, but it is still my logo.
2. I also want to add my logo into my auto signature and cannot see how to do it.
Please advise.
thanks

Make sure you click the submit button for the changes after uploading - let me know if that does not work.

Edit your profile ( Change Profile Images (Company Image & Avatar)) and right click the large logo image. Select properties and copy the Address(URL) {Ctrl+C}. Exit and edit your profile ( Change Profile), Go to the signature box and click where you want the image to be. Click the insert image button (mountains with sun!) and paste the address into the URL box {Ctrl+V}, click OK.
This should then insert the image which is hosted on the 4N server and you can then position it to suit.
Warning: You may need to switch to code view to help move it to certain positions.

Well it worked, but I think it might be a little large! How do I shrink it without changing the proportions?

The size of the image is the original one you uploaded.
You can change the size in the signature as follows:
Original SSIWeb image

Properties changed to 200 width only (then the height remains proportionate)

You can get to properties by selecting the image and clicking the insert image button. Experiment with different numbers...

I've been promoting via Profile Builder people uploading their profile onto the site. Yet again, I've had someone saying, as above, that they can't upload an Avatar and a company image. In this case it is a new member PromoLingua.
This seemed to be an issue a few months ago - is it still a problem???

The problem lies in the size of the image its too small - on the new website we just need to get the restrictions on the upload page if they exist.
If in doubt - always shrink the image and ensure its a jpeg.

This is an interesting point.
I have just seen a photo of me which has suddenly became my avatar. I use it for private use on im with family. How it came to be on the site is worrying, what if it was a candid photo???? Red faces all round....
Any ideas how to control this, or even how and why it happened??

This avatar image is located on the 4Networking server and the only way it can get there is for you to upload it whilst in your My account area and completing the process for forum preferences. You may have navigated to the file by mistake at the time.
If you need to change the image just go to the My account area and replace it by uploading a new one. Remember to refresh the browser page after to get the new one to appear.

Thanks Paul, don't remember doing it. I'll make the changes later.
