I keep getting very random emails informing me that a receipt is available online for a breakfast I attended 2-6 months ago. The receipts being referred to have always been available so I'm confused why I keep getting the alerts.
Eg: 9pm last night I received an alert for 4N Faringdon (06/03/08)

I expect that this is the 4N team catching up on some events that were not closed out correctly in the past - the emails are being sent out as part of an automated process.

I have had a few in the last few days (dating back to March this year) - I expect that the team are closing out events or reopening them and closing them again - I have just been printing off the reciepts as they come through as its easy that way.
If you want to know more then ask the area leader for the groups that you attend, they should know whats going on.

I heard it was Abbey. She's going thru and properly closing events that according to Tamsen were never properly closed.

paul, I'm with you on this one - several of the groups I'm involved with have been generating these emails - all (without exception) were closed properly and receipts were available within 24 hours (max) of the meeting date.
I raised this issue on 27th Aug http://www.4networking.biz/forum/12/20405.htm and I'd love to see why I'm being told meetings haven't been closed when they have been.

Prior to the 'Close Event' button, the 'meeting close' process included ticking an additional box after all attendees had been clicked. Many people didn't even know it was there - hence, the attendees were all ticked and that information submitted, but the actual meeting remained open. That's why these unclosed events date back so far. It is also the reason for implementing the 'Close Event' wizard so that there is no question about whether the event is closed or not.
Genuine apologies everyone for the emails - we have closed 380 events last week and you shouldn't receive any more!
