WEBSITE SUPPORT [Do Not Call]

Would it be possible under event control to be able to select a 'Do Not Call' option?

I've just been doing some calls today for Swindons meeting on Friday and I was unfortunate enough to call one particular member who ranted at me for over five minutes because they didn't want to be called. It was not a pleasant experience! This member travels frequently on his passport and has been getting calls from every group - apparently they are getting round to 'telling' (read lecturing) all the GL's when they phone up

My suggestion would be to provide a few things by the persons name in the event control panel which could make life easier:

1) An opt out section for phone calls / or a notes section so you can put a Do Not Call flag up.

2) A tick box so you can mark when someone has been called for a particular event, that way you are not doubling up on calls...

i've experienced a rant before Kerry.  "I've booked in so I'm coming! Everytime I book in for one of these meetings I get a call asking if i am coming....if i am there I am there!"  I think there should be an opt out of telephone contact button and a flag on the event control bit for people like this.   yes Jorge the confirm button should ticked or the delete ticked after each call.

That's just rude. Downright rude. Loads of people book in and don't show up, as you know Kerry.

I now do an E-mail first, 2 or three days out, then only call the ones who don't respond.

/not my idea, stole from another Area Leader

Yes, I'd be inclined to rant back after the number of no-shows last week at Hinckley, all of which had been confirmed incidently!  Like your idea, Stef, or whoever's idea that was - will give that a go, thanks.

Kerry, was it confirmation calls you were talking about, or calls inviting people not already booked in?
