One of my members in Oxfordshire, Karen Adamson of OK Direct cannot find a category suitable for her business, which is 'Mystery Shopping' and she's getting the hump with me about it. Can it be added please?

No, Mystery Shopping is a business in it's own right and one that she is very passionate about.

So how many people do you think will be in the Category of Mystery Shopping in say 2 years time? My guess would be just the one.
From the systems point of view we need to keep the category list limited to a certain extent - had a recent sort out on it and trimmed it by 20%. It becomes pretty useless to search for anyone if we end up with hundreds of categories and if its useless no one will use it so we all suffer. I guess in the future we might end up with a system of sub categories allowing more personalisation. But the best thing for now is to keep it general.
Still its not down to me, so over to the big man on this.

Tim, completely agree with you on that except that if someone has paid for membership, they have a realistic expectation to be able to find a business category that suits them.
I wouldn't be bothered about it personally, but then I understand how to best work the forum. Other people who just set up their profile and nothing else have different expectations.
I have no idea what I'm registered as, can't find 'Fat Paul Burrell lookalike' in there.

Before I tell her it's there, explain to me why I can't see it?

So this member is bigger than you then Stef !...
Does she realise no-one will ever find her as she will now be hidden from sight if she wants to be found on searches then the most general ones are best.
MS is in the list - try looking at your own category list

Found it now Paul, thanks very much and I've E-mailed her. I did also explain to her that the BEST way to be found on here is pitch in and let people get to know you and what you do. Like what I did.
