We recently brought a new tower and was told that like our previous towers, it would come with the software, which was office professional. However, it was only a trial and that ended yesterday! x
I cannot use any package, without converting, neither can I answer my email, so I went onto ebay and brought a brand new microsoft works 8. My question is this. What will happen to my emails when the new software is installed, and what about all my documents that were done on the trial software?

Nina, do you have children or people that live in your house that are doing any kind of training? If so, you can buy the student edition of microsoft office for £49 (I think) perfectly legally, then you wouldn't have any problems with compatibility.
If you can't do that and you want anything you have done converted into works compatible versions you are welcome to send them to me, I will convert them and return them.
The emails you are receiving will be stored on a server somewhere so you will receive them all once you have your new email software installed, but unless someone backed up your previous outlook files you will have lost your history :-(
I hope that helps

Once again Karen, thank you for your advice. We have a little box thingy plugged into our tower that my husband brought which backs up your work, so would our emails be on that as well?

Have to thank John Clarke from Solutions Shared, who got it working remotely. The power and friendship of 4N members never ceases to amaze me.
