What a belter.. really how cool was it today.
Corking meeting, with new boy Andy Whale joining on his first meet. Corking one to ones, a first class and hihgly reccomended 4Sight by Home Farm Hotelier Steve Lundy as he shared with us some dark secrets of the hotel game.
4Ns star negotiator teh Kofi Anan of 4N Ian Driscoll, managed to get us bundled out of the venue, on his first day as group leader. Impressive stuff indeed.

I Know he keeps telling us he is only the temp, what I can't believe is we've been bundled out before he had found us anywhere to go.

The end of the relationship wasn't down to me chasing the landlord to get the remaining 4 cooked breakfasts out by 8.45 or asking him and his partner to pipe down when they were drowning out Steve's 4sight...... it was actually Steve standing up as the landlady was tidying up and declaring that Home Farm do the best breakfast in 4N, lol. Well, that's the version Nigel Beale and I concocted on the way back over the border.

Afternoon Kofi Annan
Have you thought about the Sun inn, a miniute or two north of Loders VW on the Sherborne Road, I've been told the day time food is good but don't know if they open early enough for us.

If you got any problems with a venue, get on the phone to Shauna @ Whitbread. She has saved me so much time this afternoon!

Did anyone else spot the notice on the bar asking guests to take screaming babies outside in fairness to other customers? Shame the owners don't follow their own advice and let the customers get on in peace! Maybe if they had spent less time yakking, the breakfast (way below Home Farm standards) might have been ready on time!!!

I find not turning up and not telling them works just as well. Angry 'phone calls at 8:15am are where it is apparently at.

Didnt go well then? I very nearly went to Dorchester this morning but ended up at Marlborough which was fabulous! I can recommend the Sun Inn at Dorchester although no idea whether they would be pleased to see people at 7.30am!

First port of call was the Whitbread website, but nothing in the area unfortunately otherwise it would have been a doddle.
Ed/Jules thanks for the comments about the Sun Inn, I'll check that one out

It went really well, it was a first class meeting, even down to losing the venue. It was on the cards anyways.
