Top 4:
Liverpool
Chelsea
Arsenal
Man United
Bottom 3:
Tottenham - shame after they spent around 60 million on players!

Would love it to be Liverpool, but we will need to improve our record against the other big three clubs considerably to mount a sustained challenge. Beating Man Utd didn't hurt us and if we could get something at Stamford Bridge in a few weeks time we would definitely be on the way.
If I'm honest, though, I think we might just manage second this year behind Chelsea with Man Utd in third. Arsenal might not even make the top four if they keep slipping up. If Man City keep in touch and splash some serious cash around in January they might just make it into fourth.
What price a Champions League spot for Hull?

I can't see the issue with City. OK they nearly got something off us on Sunday but they aren't anything special at the moment and they were proper crap against Wigan last week. I was at both games, they looked clueless away from home and their arses went when we scored our first.
I seriously doubt anyone will match Chelsea this year. Squad is too good and I just can't see them slipping. Mind you, this is the best run we've been on in aeons. We had a crap christmas period last year but since January we've only been beaten once in the league and that was by the Mancs. If we can keep that up then we will win it, but we won't.
Is it handsome in here, or is it just me?

Chelsea have a great squad and my head says it will be them but I actually think we are in with a shout this year. We have been also rans for ages and at the start of every season I have told people we are in with a chance but knew we were miles away from it. Now we are nearly there -just a winger and a couple of full backs would do it.

You're insane. There's a huge gulf between Chelsea and Manure and the rest, it'll be between them again but I would say Chelsea this season as they're a bit deeper and they've finally got a manager who doesn't know what kick and rush is.

That huge gulf was 11 points last season. Us beating Manure for the first time in beards takes that down to 5, and we're getting better results than last year on the road so it's hardly massive - but winter will tell.
I think the mancs have a load to do. That week in Japan for the world club thingy is a real pain for them. Wish it was Chelsea.
We got the best record of anyone in 2008 but unfortuately you can'y just take a snapshot, you need to put a season together between August and May, and the standard is so high. Chelsea v Liverpool on October 26th is huge,
Is it handsome in here, or is it just me?

Riera has filled a gap that's been there for some time, but without Torres you look a bit toothless, so he'll have to be wrapped in cotton wool.
I like Kuyt, now that I realise he's a striker that doesn't score goals, but I can't see the goalscoring slack being taken up by anyone other than Torres, but he is the best striker in the Prem. Skrtel was a big loss, and if the reports of Real Madrid going after Agger Do Do Do turn into reality then you'll be back to Hyppia and Carra at the back...

Agger will be back in the first team and Skrtel is expected back before xmas. I know we don't have massive squad depth, but the fact that Real Madrid want a player that isn't in our first team shows how strong that defence is. The central midfield is boss - but selling Crouch was a big mistake, because as you say, if there's no Torres there's not many options. Maybe Babel - and Keane will come good...but not that good.
Big game Dangerous Dirk only delivers in the Champions League, against the big 4, or in the last minute - but he's hard to dislike.

Babel is too busy with his gangsta rap career. Although I really rated him when I've seen him play for Holland and Ajax, he's not really been what you'd call a prolific striker - mainly cos he's not really a striker, he's a 'wing forward'.
Keane was an odd move, one of those transfers that didn't really suit either selling or buying clubs. He's one of those strikers though that you think doesn't do much a season but always ends up with around 20 goals.

I still think Babel will be a real player (when he learrns how to track and tackle). Keane will get 15 prem goals but I still wish the english pele was with the club and not down south with pompy (I seriously rate crouch as the best english striker - no joke). I used to hate kuyt becuase he scores once in a blue moon but the work he does is frankly incredible and whilst we are winning I have to hold my hands up and say dont change a winning side. Riera is impressive as well. Maybe we can do it - fingers crossed.
I think Man U will be third.
