I actually secretly liked the Hitman movie, even if it was toss. And the first Resident Evil film was quite good, the second one okay and the third one awful.
The problem with videogames is the stories rely too much on immersion - after all, you're dictating the pace and progression of the storyline with your progression. Take that out, and you're shagged. So you give it to Uwe Boll to direct...

So whilst the majority of members here are "partying hard" in WSM, I went to watch Max Payne. I hadn't ever seen the games so didn't know what the expect. And I'm also going to be slightly biased because I think Mark Wahlberg or however its spelt is pretty hot (very like Matt Damon, oohh yea!).
I thought it was good, but could have been better. Found it very much like it was trying to be Sin City but not dark enough. I don't think I'd watch it again...
3 maybe 4 out of 5 ... maybe? I don't know....Crump? Brad? Anyone seen it yet?

Is it sad that I remember him as Marky Mark?
Did anyone see him on top gear last night? Seemed like a quality bloke....glad to see somebody turn their life around so radically.
Don't think I'll waste my pennies on a visit to the cinema for Max Payne, might go if they ever get around to shooting "The Departed" sequel though, thought he was quality in that.

I saw it. Not as bad as I thought it'd be, but still not great. It would have benefitted from a storyline.
That Bond bird is well fit though.

I thought the Departed was awful and I have no plans to watch Max Payne.
Nothing against Marky Mark, he was ace in Boogie Nights.
Is it handsome in here, or is it just me?

The Departed wasn't as good as the original, but then what film remake is?

I'm not a big fan on Infernal Affairs either.
But that stupid story hook where they were both goosing the same shrink was just comic book stuff. As was Nicholson's ridiculous gangster character, the kind of person who if he ever had existed and acted like that, died off pre war. It was all a cartoon with stupid leaps of faith and even worse coincidences masquerading as a well made film. Scorcese is finished.
