APPRENTICE bigmouth Tre Azam got 80 hours community service yesterday after he was convicted of a benefits scam.

Azam, 30 — who said other contestants on the BBC1 hit lacked integrity — illegally profited more than £8,000 in housing and council tax hand-outs while running a consultancy firm.
The business wannabe, told “You’re fired” by Sir Alan Sugar last year, was unemployed in August 2004 when he legally began receiving housing and tax benefits.
At the time he was renting a £250,000 house he shared with his wife and son.
But council investigators found that between October 2005 and August 2006 he failed to declare more than £12,000 of a £17,000 income from his business.
Azam, of Loughton, Essex, was ordered to pay costs of almost £7,000 by Chelmsford magistrates. He plans to appeal.
