BUSINESS 4NETWORKING [Multi-level-marketing - who is actually earning out of this?]

I keep getting approached by people involved in multi level or network marketing. Some of the products seem sensible, some of them seem made up. The question that I always ask is 'how much are you making out of it' and I've never had a proper answer.

Who is making a serious living out of multi level marketing? Come and tell us about it because if you are, and can show other people here how to do it, you could clean up here.

Serious question, I don't want to know that someone in your upline is making a lot and you've seen copies of the cheques, I want to know that you are making a proper living out of it.

Great thread.. /fetches popcorn

I'd love to hear from someone who is earning 2k+ residual income per month, i'd love to hear the route and time they got to that position.

Trouble is, I have only ever met 3 kinds of people in MLM

1. Only just started 2. "I only do it as a sideline for some pin-money" 3. "It's going to make  me rich one day"

Yet to meet or hear of anyone who really has made it rich.

I have seriously met people who were earning large amounts of money. It was genuine as I had been to some of thier houses, and seen the cars they drove. Just wasn't me personally. However as I have already said it is all down to mindset. My mindset is different now.

Exactly. the person who comes on here and is earning serious money, will clean up. If they can show people that they are honestly earning the sorts of sums that a lot of MLM schemes talk about, and can show other people how to do it, then loads of 4Ners would sign up. Why wouldn't they.

I am always being told that there is someone earning £16,000 a month, in the upline, and there are pictures of their cheques. That's the person I want to hear from.

Any Utilities warehouse guys making good doh? Does John Weltz get on here? he swears by it. The closest I have come is our relationship with Constant Contact but then I will never make real money out of that for what they provide me no matter how good I think it might be. We can up sell from this platform (managed service etc)so perhaps it is a little different but we mainly uses it to support our other campaigns.

Personally I dont know anyone doing a 2k residual through MLM (John?). For me it seems to contrived and long winded and I still think people are best of doing something for themselves.

There must be some people making it work though or why would it be so popular?

I would describe pyramid as a sub section of MLM.  And not the best sub-section. And I cant nominate the person who could answer Stef's challenge - yet!

I have a far more traditional business model, which does seem to work for me!

I've asked this before, define serious!

No really whats your definition of serious?

I've made a modest income out of Herbalife for years, £1,000 - £2,000 per month retailing products and some residual (royalty based) income. Part time.

To some this is serious. to me it is only scratching the surface.

When would you like to speak to this person? & would it really make a difference for you to speak to them?

If it would I'll arrange a meeting, if you are seriously interested.
