Hi Everyone,
I hope they don't mind me talking about it here but I've heard a lot about LinkedIn. Does anyone here have an account and know how to get the most out of it?

It's Ok but not interactive. Its like a contact list with benefits, the benefit is that you can mesasge them and you can ask questions but do not dare to promote your business!!
I'll PM you with another forum I use which is very active. BUT 4NETWORKING IS GREAT I MIGHT ADD, ESPECIALLY THE EVENTS!

That's great, thanks for the advice Michael, has anyone been to the events here, I've got one booked in and was wondering how to make the most it.

I went to a trial one before Anthony, as i think from reading around that is what you're planning on doing before commiting?
Plan to arrive there early, as i left (to get there on time) and hit a bunch of traffic and my satnav decided to come up with the longest not shortest route lol.
Get a parking thing from someone, i recieved a ticket and although it was sorted out quickly and efficiently, it was a slight scare!
In the meeting, to make the most get a meeting/1-2-1 with the area/group leader as they fill you in with info about 4n, most of the others you 1-2-1 with will be about your products!
Get a breakfast, they're nice :) :)
Plan your little 40 second pitch, get your message across - and take lot's of business cards!
I'll take a think with anything else!! :D :D

I have had a linkedIn profile for a while and not used it much. Then yesterday I had an IT problem - Sharing Violation on MS Excel. I posted a question on linked in and received amazing help from all over the world from some very specialist IT Professionals. There is a 4Networking group on LinkedIn but still not worked out the benefit of that.

I have found LinkedIn brilliant to catch up with past business colleagues. I like the relevant advertisements they post on my profile, and there are some good groups on there (mostly made up of past company colleagues).
Like Facebook but without the glitz (or the crap applications).
Don't use it for anything beyond finding people.
Out with the old, in with the new...
A HAPPY & PROSPEROUS NEW YEAR TO 4NETWORKING!

Just picking up on one of the points raised on here, 4N have got no problem at all with links to other sites and forums. I use LinkedIn - which I don't quite get as mentioned in a previous post, Plaxo - which is really growing on me, and FaceBook, as well as 4N.
