I work part time, between school times, so I do 20 hours a week. Husband/director does on average 55

It all depends what you class as working. I am always thinking about the business in one form or another but do not work set hours nor do I tie myself to a desk for a number of hours a day.

Working, doing things, for instance if you are thinking about something, more than likely your thinking about what you are going to do at 3 in the afternoon, and how long it will take you, if it takes you till 5, then you've worked 2 hours..
Think this is the easiest way to record.
Here's a question, would you class going to a 4N meeting as work? Yes, no?

Definitely yes, any form of networking is work, no matter how enjoyable it might be!
My hours would be hard to pin down - on average I'd guess I work between 25 and 30 a week, but in reality it's probably a lot more because I'm often replying to emails and researching articles late at night or over the weekend. Also I often do two jobs at once - so I'll be working on the magazine whilst taking calls for Call The Office.
Best wishes,
Alison

Actually working at my desk or in the hotel? Approx 60-70 hours (excluding 4N meetings).
Yes, 4N meetings (& forum) are classed as "work". I joined 4N to market my business and that has not changed, despite making many good friends and having a great time. Just because it is fun/social doesn't mean it isn't work!!

If your in your hotel your working surely? Like 4N, you may be passionate about it, but it's still work!
BTW i agree, i believe it is work, you go into it all to get your business out there, presumably. After a while this may become less of a primary reason to go, however it is still present!

I have no idea how many hours I work. My work and life kind of merges into one! I would guess that more people who work on an hourly rate like I do could tell you how many billable hours in a week (I can't!), but that is nowhere near what they spend 'working' as so much more to running a business than the billable stuff.
Also examples of networking maybe more than 2 hours at 4N. I am going to the Dorset Chamber lunch next week. 170+ businesses, ends up being a fairly big bozzy sesh, with people going on afterwards and often ending as the sun rises and people are falling out of the Camel bar! Is that work or not? Everyone is a potential client for me, so I can't even quantify it that way.

Agree with Pash as well......difficult to equate really.....my weeks are really mixed.....
Some weeks quieter - Puff feels human.
Some weeks ridiculously hectic, feet don't touch the ground - Puff feels so so not human.
