Product demo video shortens sales process and reduces costs for Carousel Golfing
 |
OK, golf bag storage units may not be the most exciting product in the world, but for golf clubs these innovative units from Carousel Golfing save space and generate income.
MD of Carousel Golfing, Mike Waldron called in Julian Wellings Films to produce a simple yet effective video to showcase his products.
 |
This has enabled several benefits for Mike:
⇒ More business more quickly. Customers can see an instant demo online without having to travel to the nearest installation at a golf club.
⇒ More efficient working for Mike. He no longer has to accompany all prospect clients to existing installations.
⇒ Cost savings. No need for expensive brochures and a reduced need for costly trips to Europe to take customers to installations
⇒ Do you want to gain more customers more quickly by using video on your website?

With my web development hat on ..... video on your website is fantastic, it's tangible, it's credible, it's engaging, it's as close as you are going to get to touching and feeling on the internet ... for now!
If you have a product that people really want to take a look at then let them do that in full 3-d moving technicolour ... the 21st century is where it's at!!
I did watch the video Julian ... nice Good download performance. Not entirely sure about the musak but that was easily muted lol!!!!!

Nice work... You should get together with Puff and get him to do a voiceover on one of them - it could make a very positive difference?
And i have to agree with geekgirl, the lift music was rather awful!

Musak/music - That's useful feedback...really! I've got some copyright free tracks I've used in the past and that seemed to fit, on reflection maybe not! A lot of the copyright free stuff (which I have to use) is a bit "muzaky". It's easily changed...what sort of track do you think would fit better?
Agree Mike, VOs can work well as long as not used gratuitously or excessively. Sometimes it can be better to let the pictures tell the story + careful use of captions especially on a very short piece like this one. Other times a VO can add value. Also depends if client is on a tight budget.
Thanks for watching you've been a great audience.

It reminds me of the How Its Made shows on discovery all the time... The VO on there, even if a little cheesy and stating the obvious sometimes works better than with just music.. at least for me.
You and Puff should do a sample film and see which one the client and punters like best...

Yep you've got a point there Mikey. Thanks for the input and also for helping to keep this thread at the top of the Classifieds list (which I am also now doing).

Re the music .... I would leave it without any, but then I'm not one of the ipod generation.
As an interesting aside .... we use video training for techy stuff (I prefer it to classroom stuff personally)but it is all US based, I wonder if there is an opportunity to do UK based video training?
