I don't the white text on light grey background on the menu block. You need to have a consistent font size, type and colour throughout the document. At the moment you have a mixture. For reading online, a non-serif font is best such as Verdana or Arial (we usually use Verdana). I think you could do better with your images. Go to one of the suppliers of images such as iStockphoto and i think you should be able to get something better than what you have currently. I don't see the point of the clock. I would also remove the visitor counter. Use something like Google analytics to check visitor stats. Displaying a visitor counter does you no good. It just shows up how few people visit the site.
